Laverne Burchard appeals from a judgment convicting him of three counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child, in violation of Wis. Stat. Â§ 948.025(1) (2001-02). He raises two issues: (1) Whether the trial court correctly denied a motion to suppress his confession; and (2) Whether the trial court properly exercised its discretion by denying his motion to withdraw his no contest plea. We conclude that the confession was properly admitted because it was voluntary. We also conclude that the trial court did not erroneously exercise its discretion by denying Burchards post-conviction motion because the record supports the denial. We affirm.
